Given to a business located in Upper Monroe whose economic activities and community engagement have significantly contributed to the betterment of the Upper Monroe neighborhood. Given occasionally but not more than once each year.

*Fred & Melissa have been working hard to build a strong neighborhood-based business while also being personally engaged in community work. They have allow UMNA and other groups to use Bar Bad Ending for community meetings. Fred has been actively involved in the Monroe Avenue Merchants Association, the Monroe Avenue Revitalization Coalition as well as the Upper Monroe Neighborhood Association. All of this while they hold down day jobs. Melissa and Fred live in the neighborhood where their business is located.*
