## Background

[MARC ](https://www.uppermonroe.com/hot-topics/monroe-avenue-revitalization-coalition-marc)launched a [Community Input survey](https://www.uppermonroe.com/hot-topics/monroe-avenue-revitalization-coalition-marc/monroe-avenue-community-input-effort) in June. This [survey ](https://www.uppermonroe.com/hot-topics/monroe-avenue-revitalization-coalition-marc/monroe-avenue-community-input-effort)was pushed out far and wide, gaining attention and excitement, not only from you and members of your team or staff, but also the news, local businesses, and, most importantly, residents from all over the Rochester area.

We closed the [survey ](https://www.uppermonroe.com/hot-topics/monroe-avenue-revitalization-coalition-marc/monroe-avenue-community-input-effort)at the end of August and our coalition has been analyzing the results, creating a presentation for the Town Hall. At this event we will go over the survey data and participate in active discussions with representatives, public officials, organizations, news media, and the public about the results, our next steps forward and hear community feedback on potential improvements and goals. It is our hope the meeting will galvanize attendees to sign up for sub-committees we will be forming to tackle these hurdles.

The results of the survey were shared at a lorge public meeting on October 29, 2024. [Click here to learn more about this meeting.](https://www.uppermonroe.com/events-and-meetings/past/2024/2024-october-29-results-of-the-monroe-avenue-revitalization-community-input-survey)

This effort aligns with UMNA's [Multi-year Monroe Avenue Revitalization Plan](https://www.uppermonroe.com/hot-topics/multi-year-monroe-avenue-revitalization-plan).
