# 2024 March 30: Tidy Up Monroe Ave For Eclipse Visitors

## Activity Description\*

UMNA is joining forces with all the other neighborhood groups and businesses along Monroe Avenue to tidy up our “Main Street” before the eclipse event on April 8th. We are focusing exclusively on Monroe Avenue for this effort since most visitors will experience our neighborhood by traveling along Monroe and visiting business found on Monroe Avenue. ## Activity Details

* **When:**  Saturday, March 30th starting at NOON ("Rain or shine")
* **Duration:** Only one hour (Noon until 1:00 pm)
* **Where:**  Corner of Rosedale Street & Monroe Avenue ([MAP LINK](https://maps.app.goo.gl/FtALDR24yTzRatJX6))
* **What:**  Walking along Monroe Ave. picking up trash & debris. Some of those who have signed up will be doing light spring cleanup of our community gardens along Monroe Ave. at the same time.
* **Materials:** Garbage bags and related materials will be provided by the City of Rochester. If you have "garden gloves" or similar to cover your hands, feel free to bring them with you.
