Walking For Rochester supports community clean ups from April through September (or longer depending on weather conditions). The goal is to constantly clean up litter all over Rochester all season long. The Upper Monroe Neighborhood Association is partnering with Walking For Rochester to keep Monroe Avenue clean for the remainder of this season. Walking For Rochester provides all the equipment for this family-friendly activity. No need to RSVP. On the day of the event You will be asked speak to the Walking For Rochester event coordinator stationed at the event location before you pick up litter. Look out for Walking For Rochester signs and the check-in table. It is important to check in so you can learn more about litter safety, and so you can earn a chance to win a prizes from one of our local partners. With safety in mind, Walking For Rochester will ask all volunteers to sign a waiver at every event. Remember that in New York State any volunteer under 18 must be accompanied by a guardian at least 18 years old.
