Neighborhood Map circa 2017
Although the map above suggests otherwise, "neighborhood" and "neighborhood association" borders aren't always distinct. They commonly overlap sections of adjacent neighborhoods.
Upper Monroe is no exception; particularly when it comes to Cobbs Hill Park and Pinnacle Hill. Some of Pinnacle Hill is located in the Town of Brighton. Nevertheless, what happens on Pinnacle Hill has significant impacts on residents of Upper Monroe.
On the map above Cobbs Hill Park is included in the "Cobbs Hill Park Neighborhood" which doesn't have an official neighborhood association by that name. There is an active community group in the residential area east of the park called the "Nunda Boulevard Association". There's also the Highland Heights Homeowners Association that covers a unique private street nestled up against The Grove in Cobbs Hill Park.
What happens on Pinnacle Hill and in the western section of Cobbs Hill Park can have significant impacts in Upper Monroe. This is NOT to say that other neighborhoods and the general public don't have significant interests as well. They do. Nor do to these overlapping interests necessarily assert dominion or claim territory (as if that were even possible). They do NOT. They merely suggest the many relationships that exist between nearby residents.
