# Join UMNA

## Member Benefits

* Membership entitles you to cast your vote and express your opinion at UMNA meetings on important issues described here: [Upper Monroe Neighborhood Association (UMNA)](/master.md#umna-by-laws)
* Membership entitles you to support the Upper Monroe neighborhood in myriad additional ways as a community activist and leader.
* Membership entitles you to participate in the development of public positions advocated by UMNA representatives through work done on committees and taskforces.
* Membership entitles you to receive information about neighborhood news and events.
* Membership provides a model of engagement for an exciting, energized neighborhood.&#x20;

## Dues

A set dollar amount of dues is not required for membership in [UMNA](https://www.uppermonroe.org/). The *suggested* donation for individual members is $10.00 and $5.00 for a senior citizen/student/tenant **OR the amount of YOUR choice**.  Once you complete the membership form below visit the [Donate](/donate.md) page to make a dues donation in any amount.

## Membership by US Mail

You can also join/renew your membership in UMNA by US mail. Just send your name; your street address located in the Upper Monroe neighborhood ([MAP](https://www.google.com/maps/d/edit?mid=1B2Ab7F53Ft4Yd7ELxpo9uRGZU3CR-Cc\&usp=sharing)); and your email address to:
