Rent Stabilization Legislation
Rochester City Council is considering if it should adopt rent stabilization standards in the City but the question is tricky because they cannot act unless the vacancy rate is below 5%.
Rochester City Council recently voted to conduct another analysis to see if the rental vacancy rate is less than 5%. If it is, then City Council is permitted to take action to stabilize rents in Rochester.
