### UPDATE on the 2025 NIA grant to the Upper Monroe Neighborhood Association

In April, 2025 UMNA's NIA grant application was approved for $3,000. NIA funders offered UMNA an additional $7,000, if programs that fit NIA goals and specifications could be identified by UMNA. The UMNA NIA Grant Work Group prepared and submitted a supplemental request for $7,000 to NIA. NIA approved the supplemental request in May, 2025. As a result, the total NIA grant to UMNA for 2025 is $10,000.

The program narratives associated with the NIA grant may be found on the 2025 UMNA Work Plan page <[HERE](https://www.uppermonroe.com/2025-work-plan-and-budget/2025-umna-work-plan)>.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://www.uppermonroe.com/work-plan-and-budget/2025-umna-plan-and-budget/2025-umna-budget.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
