# Monroe Avenue is a PLACE & a DESTINATION

### 1.  Our community gardens along and near Monroe Avenue are well supported

#### Action beginning in 2024

* 2024 - Encourage more neighbors to participate in the ongoing care and cultivation of community gardens beginning with [Monroe Avenue is CLEAN & WELL MAINTAINED](/work-plan-and-budget/multi-year-monroe-avenue-revitalization-plan/monroe-avenue-is-clean-and-well-maintained.md) each spring

**Time frame: "**Clean & Preen" program will be complete by May 4, 2024

* 2024 - Provide funding for materials (mulch, plantings) necessary to keep our community gardens looking good

**Time frame:** Completed by May 31st

*  Restore the “Children’s Garden” on Laburnam Crescent as one of our community gardens

**Time frame:** Completed by Fall, 2024
