### 1. Neighbors and businesses work together to drive economic activity on Monroe Avenue

#### Action beginning in 2024

* Neighbors visit businesses to learn more about their products and services

**Time frame:**  Ongoing

* The Upper Monroe Neighborhood Association and the Monroe Avenue Merchants Association (MAMA) reach out to every business on Monroe Avenue with an offer of discounted combined membership in the both organizations. By doing so businesses will connect with other businesses as well as with nearby neighbors.

**Time frame:**  The initial outreach effort will be completed by May 31, 2024

* MAMA & UMNA will impliment a variety of programs and activities such as "Small Business Saturday" to encourage neighbors to visit businesses.
