The UMNA multi-year Monroe Avenue revitalization effort is comprised of seven goals. The goals are expressed with aspirational language; language that describes the future we want to see.

Actions beginning in 2024
Participate in the City of Rochester's program known as “Clean Sweep”. UMNA puts it's unique spin on this program calling it "Clean & Preen" so that we can attach some spring preening around our community gardens on and near Monroe Avenue. More on this topic under Monroe Avenue is a PLACE & a DESTINATION.
Partner with “Walking For Rochester” to tidy up Monroe Ave on a regular basis over the warm weather months.
Time frame: Once every few weeks through the warm weather months

Partner with property owners along Monroe Avenue to support their efforts to bring their properties into code compliance

Publicly recognize exemplary property owners with an annual award.
Time frame: Early June, 2024 and annually thereafter.
