EFFECTIVE OCTOBER 9, 2023: RPD Reorganization

The Upper Monroe neighborhood is serviced by the Goodman Sectionarrow-up-right of the RPD located at 630 North Clinton Avenue, Rochester, NY 14605arrow-up-right. The Goodman Sectionarrow-up-right is commanded by Rochester Police Captain, Jason A. Elwood.

The telephone number at the Goodman Sectionarrow-up-right is (585) 428-9805. The Goodman Sectionarrow-up-right office is open Monday - Friday, 8:45 AM - 3:15 PM; closed weekends and holidays.

The Goodman Sectionarrow-up-right is comprised of nine patrol car beats numbered 205, 215, 225, 235, 245, 255, 265, 275 and 285. The Upper Monroe neighborhood is patrol car beat #255. See maps below.

Patrol car beat #255 covers all of the Upper Monroe neighborhood area plus sections of Swillburg and Park/East Avenue.

The Goodman Section has a Community Affairs Bureauarrow-up-right sub-station at the City of Rochester's South East Neighborhood Service Center (NSC)arrow-up-right in the Village Gate complex at 320 Goodman Street North, Rochester, NY 14607arrow-up-right.

The Community Affairs Bureauarrow-up-right is commanded by Deputy Chief Keith Stith and assists Chief of Police David M. Smith in coordinating all communications, public information and community engagement initiatives. The Community Affairs Bureauarrow-up-right commands the Community Policing Unit, which includes the Neighborhood Service Centers (NSC)arrow-up-right and Crime Prevention Officers (CPOs).

Each month or so representatives from the Goodman Sectionarrow-up-right and the Community Affairs Bureauarrow-up-right meet with neighborhood representatives to review and discuss crime activity.
