Thursday, February 5th | Meeting | Repairs To Monroe Avenue
WHAT: Meeting held by the City of Rochester
This meeting is being held by the City of Rochester to discuss repairs to Monroe Avenue that are being undertaken as a result of damage to the area by a massive water main break on September 13, 2025.
While basic road repairs were completed last fall more work is needed. Sidewalk areas at the corner of Monroe Avenue and Rosedale Street that featured unique brick pavers and other notable features, displaced and damaged due to the flooding, were removed so that a quick repairs could be completed before winter weather hit. City crews expect to return to the site this spring to complete repairs, restore features and complete the work.

This meeting is FREE to all residents of Upper Monroe. You do NOT have to be a member of the Upper Monroe Neighborhood Association. Tenants and business owners/managers as well as property owners are encouraged to participate!
BACKGROUND
On Saturday, September 13, 2025 a 36" watermain burst under Monroe Avenue causing massive flooding and damage to many private properties as well as public property on and near Monroe Avenue.
