Last September sections of Monroe Avenue between Harwood Street and Rosedale Street on both sides of Monroe Avenue were devastated by a massive water main break. While road repairs were largely completed at that time - including restoration of the decorative brick pavers and other features that gave the area a distinctive appeal - could not be completed before winter weather.
Attendees do NOT have to be members of the Upper Monroe Neighborhood Association to participate. Tenants and business owners/managers as well as property owners are encouraged to attend.
On Saturday, September 13, 2025 a 36" watermain burst under Monroe Avenue causing massive flooding and damage to many private properties as well as public property on and near Monroe Avenue.
