Tuesday, August 5th | Clean Up Monroe Avenue | Walking For Rochester
This is a collaborative program between the Upper Monroe Neighborhood Association and Walking for Rochester.

On Tuesday, August 5th at 5:30 pm neighborhood residents will join volunteers organized by Walking For Rochester to clean up Monroe Avenue for one hour.
This activity is designed to supplement UMNA’s highly successful Adopt-A-Block program that activates neighbors on/near every street that crosses Monroe Avenue. Each person periodically walks down to the corner and picks up the stray bits of litter along their ONE BLOCK section of Monroe Avenue.

The basics:
DAY/DATE/TIME: Tuesday, August 5th at 5:30 pm for one hour
LOCATION: Monroe Avenue and Laburnam Crescent
WHO: Any resident of Upper Monroe may participate. You do NOT have to be a member of the Upper Monroe Neighborhood Association. No sign-up in advance is required.
WHAT: Neighborhood residents will join volunteers from other areas to pick up trash along Monroe Avenue. Each cleanup is just one hour long and open to everyone. We provide all the supplies — gloves, bags, grabbers — Just show up, help out, and be part of a cleaner, prouder Rochester. All participants must complete a quick safety waiver on-site before joining. (link here)
