Information & Requirements

Members of the Upper Monroe Neighborhood Association (UMNA) must meet all of the qualifications listed below. The information you provide is subject to confirmation by UMNA.
  1. 1.
    Membership is open to individuals over 18 years of age who occupy or own property in the Upper Monroe neighborhood. MAP.
  • Tenants as well as property owners located in the Upper Monroe neighborhood are eligible/encouraged to join.
  • Members must be human individuals and cannot be businesses, corporations, couples or families.
  • More than one individual over 18 may be a member at the same address (located in Upper Monroe - MAP).

    Members may vote on matters described in the UMNA rules and bylaws; serve on committees and help establish policy positions advocated by the Association.
  • Each member is entitled to participate, take certain actions and cast a vote on matters described in the umna-by-laws.
  • Non-resident property owners are limited to one vote regardless of how many properties are owned in the Upper Monroe area. MAP.
  • Property owners that reside in one location in Upper Monroe and also own one or more additional properties in Upper Monroe are limited to one vote.
  • Tenants qualify for membership separately from property owners. MAP.

    Members must provide their contact information including their full name, verified email address and their street address located in the Upper Monroe neighborhood. MAP.
  • Your contact information will be used to send you news and information about the Upper Monroe neighborhood, UMNA events/activities as well as other information UMNA believes will be of interest to you.
  1. 4.
    Members will be encouraged to support UMNA and participate in UMNA activities.
  • Participation in UMNA activities/events is strongly encouraged but NOT required.
  • Your UNMA membership status, benefits and voting rights will NOT be affected by whether or not you contribute or by how much you contribute.
  1. 5.
    All membership terms are one calendar year beginning on January 1st and ending on December 31st.
  • Memberships automatically renew each year so long as you meet the above requirements and your contact information remains unchanged OR your new information meets current membership requirements.
  • You may cancel your membership at any time by written notice to [email protected].
By completing the UMNA membership form and meeting all these requirements you will be a member in good standing of UMNA
