UPDATE: In May, 2024 UMNA and area residents participated at a public meeting to hear details for this improvement and provide commentary to the City of Rochester.

UMNA leadership undertakes formal training through the Rochester Police Department and informal research available in the public domain

UPDATE: In March, 2024 a representative of UMNA completed the Rochester Police Department's Citizen Police Academy training program.

3. The economically disadvantaged and unhoused who are present on and near Monroe Avenue are engaged and supported with compassion by professional organizations best equipped to do so.

UMNA invites and supports partnerships with local non-profits, government agencies and the Rochester Police Department to reach out to the economically disadvantaged and unhoused on and near Monroe Avenue with the intent of providing housing and other services as appropriate to the individual circumstances of those in need.
Time frame: This effort will commence immediately and the efforts will be ongoing
